Kris Jarvis, President

A Message from our President...

Whoaaaa! So glad you found us! The Old Dominion Pony of the Americas Club (ODPOAC) is the Virginia branch of the national POA club. POAs are versatile, athletic, sweet-tempered, Appaloosa-colored ponies. At ODPOAC shows, children can begin riding as soon as their parents are willing to let them sit on a pony's back and can enter leadline equitation, costume, and game classes. Once they want to ride without a leader, they can enter 8 & under classes, which include western, english, jumping, driving, and games. Older age divisions (9-12 & 13-18) allow children and ponies to continue growing and learning together in all events. For many years the only youth-only breed in the United States, the national POAC now offers pointed classes for adults in trail, reining, western pleasure, and hunter under saddle. The ODPOAC offers additional classes to meet the needs and desires of exhibitors of all ages, and we'd love to have you show with us!

Our club is small, and many of our shows are open to non-POAs. Come join us at a show this year! Feel free to contact me with any questions.
